Louann Tomassi-Heydt was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming and grew up in Big Piney. Sublette county has always been her home. She graduated from BPHS in 1972. She attended Eastern Montana College for two years then went on to The Bryman School for Medical Assisting in Portland Oregon. It was after finishing her schooling there that she moved back to her hometown of Big Piney and went to work for the Marbleton-Big Piney Clinic when it first opened its doors as a Medical Assistant. Louann met and married Tom Heydt in 1976. After the birth of their first son, Luigi she decided to be a stay-at-home Mom. She went on to have two more sons, Zachary and Vincent. In 1994 Louann joined her family business running their Big Piney sales office for their GM and Ford dealerships. In 2022 the family dealership sold and Louann retired after 28 years of selling vehicles. Louann has always had an interest in healthcare and the future of Healthcare in Sublette County. She feels the project is very important from Emergency Services all way down to the Long-Term Care facility to keep our aging residents close to home. The memory care unit in the new Long Term Care facility is of special interest to Louann because of her personal experience with her mother. Louann feels honored to serve on the Hospital Foundation and see to completion a wonderful complex for Sublette County.
